Game modes include a mix of 2v2 games and more than 20 games that can be played in Party Tournament, Single Player Gauntlet or Free Play mode, while rewards for this competition all revolve around a range of unlockable costumes. Mammott, Furcorn, Pom Pom, Entbrat, Pango, Congle and Kayna are in the roster right now, although we don’t know if more will be added in the future. Local multiplayer will allow players to get face to face and pick from seven playable characters. It’s not quite WarioWare or Wandersong, but it certainly looks like this outing will have plenty of variety for fans of the original mobile title. Rather than compose some sweet music, My Singing Monster Playground allows owners of this menagerie to take control of their favourite musical maker and compete in a tournament of mini-games.

Taking the original creative concept, the newest entry will bundle players into an all-new party game that is probably best described by watching the new trailer, above.

The new entry in this series will sound off on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The developer behind the My Singing Monster franchise has just announced that the next title in their series of loud and proud monster mayhem is set to arrive across PC and Consoles on 9 November. It’s great to see so much effort and heart poured into such a lovely game.Prepare for a loud adventure when Big Blue Bubble Brings My Singing Monsters Playground to PC and consoles on 9 November. Its gameplay is easy to pick up and play no matter your comfortability with a controller but can still toss you some difficulty if you’re willing to test your might. My Singing Monsters Playground is a fantastically silly and chaotic party game that takes the best from others in the genre and creates its own “best of” selection to keep players engaged. It would have been easy for the devs to play it safe and lazy with this one, but I’m so glad that they didn’t because it’s a great game.

Aside from those constructive criticisms, the game is really fun and super polished.

Perhaps a full 2v2 mode where its focus is on team play? That’s something that would totally drive some friendly team vs team competition. I would’ve also liked to have seen some more modes. I understand that it’s mostly geared towards kids but for us adults that want to play with friends or relatives across longer distances, it would've been cool to have the choice of playing with them as well. While I truly appreciate the game’s local multiplayer, I would have also liked to have seen some online play as well. The music is also very lively and upbeat which goes perfectly with the party game motive. Each character has their own sounds they make during gameplay as well as victory cheers. Matching the aesthetics and feel, the sound aspects also help to make this world feel full. Games with vibrant colors like this always make me smile and bring a lot of life into the game. The characters are charming as heck and its different lands can be really pretty to look at. Though I’m not incredibly familiar with its lore or characters, it’s obvious that there is indeed some in play. I really love just how much detail there is within the world of these singing monsters.
